About Us


Southeastern Employee Benefit Services, Inc. (SEBS) is a Third Party administrator and Recordkeeper for retirement plans. We have been in business since 1971 and currently have three offices (Nashville, TN, Columbus, OH, and Charlotte, NC) in addition to our home office in Winston-Salem, NC. Currently we service around 2,000 plans ranging in size from one participant to over 2,000 participants. We use both the balance forward and daily methods of accounting. Approximately half of our customers are made up of partners for whom we do private label or alliance recordkeeping. The remainder of our business is either sold through brokers and agents or by one of our internal consultants. SEBS sponsors our own prototype plan document for both defined contribution and defined benefit plans. We handle administration for the following types of defined contribution plans: 401(k), 403(b), Profit sharing, New Comparability, Age weighted, Target and ESOP. We also have an actuary in house and we do administration on defined benefit plans.
